Puppy Packages
There’s nothing more exciting than bringing home a new addition to your family, especially a puppy! That’s why Desert Dove Veterinary Hospital offers three packages that will save you money and provide all the medical care our clinic recommends for puppies.
All of our puppy packages start after the puppy is 8 weeks old. Vaccines administered before that age are not very effective, and starting vaccines at 8 weeks decreases the number of overall vaccines a puppy has to have (when started at 8 weeks, two booster vaccines are needed, but when started earlier, three boosters must be done). The package also includes administering a rabies vaccine when the puppy is 16 weeks old – the age when the vaccine has been proven most effective to protect against rabies. You should choose the package that is most appropriate for your puppy based on your pet’s age.
Each of the packages below is sold for a fixed price that is 20% below the amount you would pay if you purchased these same services separately without the package. All of the packages include multiple visits for your puppy that are spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. This ensures that your puppy gets vaccine boosters in the timeframe required to maximize the protection provided by the vaccines. Please call our clinic for current pricing for each package.
PUPPY PACKAGE #1: Three visits starting at 8 to 9 weeks old.
8 weeks Exam, 1st DA2PP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Para-influenza)

12 weeks Exam, 2nd DA2PP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Para-influenza)
Vaccine, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine plus one month of Heartworm preventative
16 Weeks Exam, DA2P 3 yr (Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2, Parvovirus) Vaccine, Annual Rabies Vaccine, Fecal Floatation, plus one month of Heartworm preventative

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR PUPPY PACKAGES
• Puppy Package visits must be scheduled 3 to 4 weeks apart to ensure vaccine boosters are effective.
• Fecal samples for the Fecal Floatation are requested at the last visit, but can be provided anytime within 60 days of the end of the package.
• A 10% discount is applied for spay/neuter surgeries done within 60 days of the final Puppy Package appointment.
• Full payment for the Puppy Package must be made at the first visit (no payments are made at second or subsequent visits).
• Puppy Packages are voided without refund if appointments are not kept within the 3 to 4 week windows required for booster vaccines.
