To arrange boarding, just call our office. Be sure to have the exact dates you wish to have your pet boarded handy when you call.
You will need to bring enough food for your pet's stay. We require you provide food because pets tend to stop eating or have digestive issues if their food is changed. Bring your pet's medication to be given during the stay. Bring a leash and collar for your dog. Bring any items (bed, blanket, toys) you wish placed in your pet's kennel.
Before we can board your cat or dog, we need to ensure your pet has received the needed vaccines from a licensed veterinarian. We require the vaccines are current, with documentation of names and serial numbers of vaccines administered, and the dates that they were given. Unfortunately we are not able to accept home-administered vaccines for boarded animals.
Desert Dove Veterinary can administer the vaccines needed to board a pet. It is recommended that vaccines be given at least one week prior to boarding. This will ensure your pet's health is properly protected.
